I won a DailyGoodie Box!

Dailygoodie box is sort of a subscription type of box without an actual subscription. It ditched the subscription based model instead you sign up on their site and fill out some profile questions, and interact with their offers in hopes that they send you a message to your inbox saying you have a box on your way. The box features usually more healthy, natural, or organic type of products. In exchange for getting a box for free you just have to leave some feedback on the products you receive.
It is an interesting model and if you are lucky enough to be chosen a unique way to try new products.
I was chosen via a facebook post.  They are huge on doing social media giveaways. They usually will ask a question or tell you about a product on Facebook and give between 50 and 100 boxes away a day. Just to people who answer their questions on Facebook. There doesn't seem to be a particular method to how they choose people So you just have to give them your comments and hope for the best. I had received mine after answering a question about what I like about DailyGoodie Box. The short version of my post involved me talking about how involved the community was on social media and everyone is friendly towards one another and having the chance to try products I otherwise may pass up on. That seemed to be good enough to work for me. Not saying the same answer will help you get selected. I had replied to nearly 20 of their posts before finally getting selected for one so replying is now guarantee. Let's get to the review shall we!!

This was a vegan friendly nail polish and an energy gum

Witch Hazel Shampoo and Conditioner and An all Natural drug free sleep aide

Pure Fruit Bar and a Mojito Energy Drink

Hangover Prevention.. Tea and some sort of protein bar
I am a guy and I don't normally wear nail polish. Back in my Emo/Goth phase I was all about that. I might break out nail polish on occasion for a character for comic con or a costume party. So I figured I'd try it. It was vegan and animal cruelty free.  That was nice but overall the quality wasn't the best. It took a few coats more than I expected to actually get the colour to match the bottle. It goes on very thin at first. Not the thickest nail polish. Holds up well though so I guess that's a plus.  The energy gum I found to be lacking long lasting flavour and I noticed no boost in energy. I feel that was a bit of a let down.

The napz sleep aide I tried on a few different occasions. It basically is just sleepy time tea in a capsule form. It gives you the same benefits of sleepy time tea without having to run to the bathroom all night. Depending how you normally react to sleepy time tea this would be the same general thing. For me I was able to fall asleep within 30 minutes and it helped relax me a bit.  Had that nice calming feeling where my mind was able to just relax. I actually enjoyed this product. It did leave me a bit groggy in the morning but it wasn't the worst.

The witch hazel shampoo and conditioner were different for me. I hated the smell of it right from opening it.. The lavender didn't do much to balance out the hair dye type of smell this shampoo had. It was nice for drying out my hair though. I mean that in a good way. In the heat and humidity my hair retains oil so it was nice to get some of that excess oil out.

The fruit bars were disgusting.  I was expecting them to be good but I don't know if it was the Apple/Blueberry combo or that it was just bad. The fruit filling tasted overly dry. I would not eat any more of those. The energy drink had a bit too much sugar for my liking but the flavor wasn't bad. I did like the mojito flavor. Wasn't as overwhelming as most energy drinks tend to be.

Had no use for the hangover prevention. I did take one before a night of going out but I noticed no difference. The protein bar was much bigger than expected and the peanut butter flavour was wonderful .The rest of it was sort of on the bland side. It was however rather filling. It was chewy enough to make you slow down and enjoy it a bit.
The tea was this ginger type of tea. To me that tasted a bit like kombucha tea without the vinegar type taste that the fermentation normally gives kombucha tea.

Overall this was a cool box to get. I am not sure that I would pay for a monthly subscription if they ever offered one. There are plenty of other options for healthy oriented type of subscription boxes.  So for now I am thrilled having the chance to try to win a box on occasion. It is an unexpected treat and I got to try some new products I may otherwise have never tried. From this particular box I'd be most likely to start buying Grandpa Soap Company's Witch Hazel Conditioner/Shampoo and The Napz sleep aide.
